Odda

Odda is situated in the very heart of Hardanger, surrounded by two of Norway’s most spectacular national parks. There are loads of actvities and things you can do – something for everyone.

Odda can offer quiet beauty and dramatic experiences, but it’s also has a vibrant city centre, boasting great shopping and cultural offerings. The contrasts are huge and exciting in the Odda municipality. From the mountain village of Roeldal with its great ski resort, the national park with its striking landscape with steep mountain sides crashing into the fjord, impressive waterfalls, green hills, blossoming fruit trees, the quiet fjord with the majestic Folgefonna glacier in the background, to the remains and monuments of the industry and factories in the city centre. They tell the history of Odda, and how the people have tamed and exploited the natural resources.
